maria & shawn: wedding
Maria & Shawn were married in 2007 in a small civil ceremony so they could be put on assignment together in Ecuador while volunteering for the Peace Corps. They contacted us in January 2008 about shooting a ceremony and reception they were planning to have for their family and friends once they returned from their assignment. Throughout the past year and a half we’ve been keeping in contact with them via email and it was so great to finally meet them and document their wedding on Saturday!
They were married at the gorgeous Airlie Gardens in Wilmington, NC, and while rain clouds threatened us at times, the day turned out to be absolutely beautiful. The day was relaxed and filled with laughter and love. And check out all of the awesome details!

I am seriously consider having another wedding so that I can have you take pictures again :) you have learned SO much and gotten a MILLION YILLION times better since your first wedding!!! (although I cant complain I adore our pictures) but the picture of their feet sitting down is wonderful and I love her dress how stinking cute!!

Wow! These are absolutely beautiful! I've seen plenty of wedding pictures before but nothing as stunning as these are. They belong in a magazine or photography book! As the Mom of the groom, I can not thank you enough for creating such a beautiful memory for Shawn & Maria. I can't wait to see the rest!
